See the complete tutorial here.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Fabric
  • Brown kraft paper
  • Ticket puncher
  • Scissors
  • Pinking shears
  • Glue gun
  • Twine or jute string

Step 1: Make an invitation template with the following dimensions: main invite (3.5in x 5in) and tag (2in x 1in). I used Microsoft PowerPoint.

Step 2: Print the file on kraft paper and cut the main invites and tags accordingly.

Step 3: Using pinking shears, cut a strip of fabric long enough to cover the main invite from top to bottom

Step 4: Cover the main invite with the fabric strip. Dab a bit of hot glue to secure.

Step 5: Punch one hole on each end of the tag. Slip a jute string into both punched holes.

Step 6: Tie the jute string on the back of the main invite. Make sure that the tag is on the card’s horizontal and vertical center.

This fabric invitation will be a pretty detail for your little one’s party! It’s easy to do and very budget-friendly!
