Moms Share Why It’s Important to Have “Me” Time

When you have work to do, errands to finish, and a little toddler to take care of, being a mom feels like you’re on call 24/7! But despite your busy schedule, you must make sure that you have time for yourself, too! To encourage you today, we asked four moms to share with us why you should spend some time for yourself once in a while. Happy Tuesday, loves!

It reminds you of who you are

We shouldn’t lose our identities or who we are, just because we’re busy being MOM. We should be happy and confident about ourselves so that it all spills over to our own husbands and children. – Mikaela Lagdameo-Martinez

It refuels you, and gives you rest!

Spending a little alone time is good for every mom, as you can recharge your “batteries” and clear your head. – Kelly Misa-Fernandez

A Tropical Treat

If I were to have a list of party inspirations for my future kid, I would definitely put this set on top of my list! Priscilla’s birthday bash was a mix of styled tasteful tropical details and burst of bright colors that just goes so well altogether, thanks to Party Project Manila. These snaps by Harry Lim Photography will surely brighten your day!

P.S. Did you know that Priscilla’s parents was part of our first editorials for Bride and Breakfast? Check out their dreamy shoot here!

What we’re digging:

  • The stage set-up is just perfect! Thumbs up to Party Project Manila!
  • Flamingos and parrots really do complete the tropical vibe. Don’t forget the pineapples too!
  • The cake and the macaron treats are just too beautiful to eat! The flamingo cupcake looks so cute too! Such a clever idea!

7 Dessert Places in BF Homes To Check Out With The Family

Craving for something sweet? Why not take your family out, and go for a delightful adventure! BF Homes, Parañaque is a popular food hub in the southern part of Metro Manila, so you’ll have a lot of dessert choices there. So, what are you waiting for?! View this list below, and schedule your next family date!

Bucky’s Counter

Bucky’s Counter is a place you shouldn’t miss if you’re looking for something different! According to the bakery, if a flourless chocolate cake and a fudge brownie had a baby, it would be called a Bucky. These rich, flavor-packed pastries will satisfy your sweet tooth for ages. You even have a choice of pairing it with milk or adding ice cream… or my personal favorite–have them put the brownie in the waffle maker! If you want to try something new with your kids, try ordering the Bucky’s Flight. You’ll get sample slabs of three flavors along with milk–yum!

Conti’s

Conti’s is an all-time family favorite in the south, because BF Homes was its very first branch! They serve a variety of delicious meals, but their desserts are to die for! A must-try is their Mango Bravo cake, which is a perfect combination of cream, nuts,  chocolate, and mango goodness! If you’re not into cakes, they also have scrumptious cookies, brownies, and so many more choices! Be sure you check this place out with your kids!

Outré Manila

Outré has a really cool concept that the fambam will really enjoy! Instead of the usual process of freezing ice cream, they use nitrogen oxide, which is cold and makes a lot of smoke, and instantly freezes the cream! Pretty cool for a scoop of ice cream, right? Plus their pretty interiors are very interesting, because you can draw or write on their walls!

Cafe Seolhwa

Craving for halo-halo? Why not try something new! Cafe Seolhwa offers bingsu, a popular shaved ice dessert in Korea, and it tastes super good! Their mango cheese flavor is a crowd favorite–it features ripe mango, nuts, and cheesecake toppings on shaved ice. Yum!!!

Southern Dairy

Southern Dairy is a dessert place that features industrial interiors and a cozy ambiance, so it’s great for those relaxing afternoons with the kids. They offer mouthwatering treats that will surely keep you craving for more chocolate! Their famous ice cream cookie tower is a must-try!

Larcy’s

Are you a cupcake fanatic? Then you’ll definitely love Larcy’s! It’s the perfect cozy place for you to read a book with the kids. Plus, their scrumptious bestsellers like the Pink Velvet cupcake, BananaNutella, and Chocolate Salted Caramel taste incredibly great! So if you’re in BF, this is the place to be!

Southern Creperie

You don’t get to see a lot of creperies in the Metro so I’m pretty glad Southern Creperie opened its doors to Southerners this year! With such cozy and intimate interiors, this is the absolute perfect place to grab some merienda with your kids. What’s good to eat? I’d probably go for the Chocolate Hazelnut with Strawberries and Ice Cream or their Red Velvet loaded with with strawberry jam, caramelized banana, cream cheese, Nutella Ferrero and toasted almonds. YUUUUM!
